Side By Side

Theo in Southampton and NYC

July 21, 2008 · 3 Comments

Southhampton is a very nice place. It has a bay, a beach, and a lot of other cool things, too. My aunt had a lot of cucumbers! It is one of the only things we ate at dinner. (HH note: Nina made a LOT of other food) The bay had a current, so me and Jim liked to ride it.

We are in New York City now. It is very hot and humid. There are a lot of tall buildings and shops. Unfortunately they don’t give tours of the stock market anymore. We went on the Staten Island ferry and saw the Statue of Liberty (Did you know that most people from other countries coming to America first came to New York?). I didn’t know the Statue of Liberty was so green! New York is very nice. I’ll blog more soon. Bye!

Hi Theo, We’re going to the beach tomorrow for 5 days. Lake’s going to come with us. I know you have a lot of friends and I probably won’t see you much when you come home because of all your playdates you’re going to be having with them but would you like to come spend a couple days with us? My mom said we could go to Bullwinkles and play golf and she’d give us some money for the arcades. I have a new Indiana Jones Lego toy to show you. How long have you been gone now? We’ve been trying to figure it out.

    Theo,
Did you get to climb up the Statue of Liberty to the top and look out from the crown? I remember doing that when I was 15. We went round and round and round and round and round so many times! Don’t forget to go to FAO Schwartz!
    Love, Suzie

It’s so drastic to have been talking of the majesty of the Rockies and then going to the Hamptons. I’m so glad you had a great visit w/Michael’s sister + spouse. It really did look like you’ve had a great time there on ‘Lauwng-Eye-Lung’
